Caroline Wozniacki calls for Serena seeding at Wimbledon

Garbine Muguruza dropped just one set on her way to the Wimbledon title last year

Serena Williams will start her bid for an eighth Wimbledon singles' title next week. She can be given a seeding but it depends on tournament organizers who traditionally go by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings and Williams is now ranked at 183.

Speaking to ITV News, author of Eat Sweat Play Anna Kessel said that sport can be a "hostile place for mothers". "At the same time, you know, I think she's shown that she's on the right track to come back, and I think she deserves, you know, to be getting a little bit of help, because she's proven that she has been the best player for a very long time". "Maybe not in time for me, but for the next person", Williams said, as per ABC.

"I think and I hope - and it should be under review - to change these rules".

Serena Williams is one of the most dominant players in the history of tennis.

Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki has called for 23-time Grand Slam victor Serena Williams to be seeded at next month's Wimbledon Championships, ahead of the All England Club's meeting Tuesday. "I don't think there would be a player that would complain, especially the top ones, if she was one of the top eight".

Briefly: not great. She lost early at Indian Wells and Miami, losing to Venus Williams at Indian Wells in the third rounding and losing in the first round to Naomi Osaka in Miami.

Serena Williams says there are records she still wants to break - and she's ready to put in the hard work to do it.

Williams returned to the circuit in March this year after giving birth to her baby girl.

"I think she is competitive, her level and fitness is back".

Williams has not held back while discussing the health issues she faced immediately after the birth of her daughter, and while the cat-suit she wore at Roland Garros raised a few eyebrows, the compression nature of the suit was also functional. "But I realized everyone is different, everyone reacts differently".

Williams has not officially been added to the Wimbledon draw just yet, but is in London ahead of the decision on Tuesday.
