Here’s some more in the wild shots of the Pixel 3 XL

Google Pixel 3 XL images reportedly leak out, show off a notch

It looks like the Pixel 3 XL will have the notched display, which was speculated considering Android P has support for the same. Unlike the iPhone X, however, the notch appears to house a dual-lens camera setup while a single-lens camera remains on the back of the phone. He couldn't confirm whether wireless charging was present, but we dug through Android P beta 2 (Developer Preview 3) and found evidence for wireless charging docks, which we believe are for the Google Pixel 3, so make of that as you will. The bottom houses a Type-C port. It's just that this time around, the Google Pixel 3 will be manufactured by Foxconn. Around front, we can see that Google unsurprisingly copied Apple's iPhone X design with a big notch at the top of the display. There's a slight chin at the bottom for the front facing stereo speakers as well. No Pixel device has ever been compatible with wireless chargers, though Google's Nexus 4 from all the way back in 2012 was compatible with the Qi protocol. The aluminum build of the phone will stay for at least another year, with the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.

Phone Designer In this post, which will be updated regularly, we'll be looking at the latest rumors surrounding the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

That's it for now, but we're hopefully going to see more of this soon. Google is expected to launch three variants of the Pixel 3 this year, and codenames for the three have been doing the rounds as well. The Pixel 2's was placed on the left edge of the phone. This way, the display controller component can be hidden behind the screen itself, rather than beneath it like most phones. It allows developers to build apps that work around the cut out. Relative to their predecessors, the Pixel 3 has an increase of 0.3-inches while the XL will have an increase of 0.2-inches. If I'm right in suspecting the Pixel range is as much about influencing other Android smartphone manufacturers as it is about selling handsets, a distinct design language suits Google's goals perfectly.
