Trump Takes Lead on North Korea Denuclearization

The meeting would be the first time Mr Kim has hosted a fellow head of state

Rudy Giuliani said North Korean despot Kim Jong Un begged "on his hands and knees" for a summit after President Trump canceled it last month, a report on Wednesday said.

Mr Putin said during an interview with Austrian public broadcaster ORF overnight that the denuclearisation of the North shouldn't be "one-way road".

Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged that his country will make sure that President Donald Trump's upcoming meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is a success.

The minister, who will be accompanied by foreign ministry officials, will also meet the North's ceremonial president Kim Yong Nam.

Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced the venue of the highly anticipated summit on Twitter Tuesday, adding that "We thank our great Singaporean hosts for their hospitality".

"We feel like things are continuing to move forward and good progress has been made", Sanders said.

"So have they ever ask that the money pay for United States?" asked one journalist during a briefing. We are going to start a process.

Experts have voiced concern that despite Trump's claim to be the world's greatest dealmaker, he knows little about North Korea, arms control or worldwide diplomacy.

The medallions will depict an "affirmative handshake" between the two leaders, the scheduled date of the summit, and the flags of both countries, the Singapore Mint said in a statement yesterday. White House officials are aiming to settle on a timeframe for Kim to relinquish his nuclear arsenal.

Trump had already confirmed that would be a protracted effort in and of itself, given the size of North Korea's arsenal. "Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un are pretty much the same", Rodman said.
