Eden Hazard still open to Real Madrid move

Eden Hazard

Yet all the soccer world is talking about today is Cristiano Ronaldo's blockbuster move from Spanish giant Real Madrid to Juventus in Italy.

Ronaldo agreed a four-year deal with the Serie A champions to complete a €100 million (£88m/$117m) transfer from Madrid on Tuesday. I'm leaving, but this shirt, this crest, and the Santiago Bernabeu will continue to feels these things wherever I am.

The former Manchester United forward is widely considered to be one of the best soccer players of all time.

"Beyond the conquered titles, the trophies achieved and the triumphs achieved in the playing fields during these nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement".

Back in April, after Ronaldo's stunning overhead-kick goal against Juve was greeted with a standing ovation in Turin, nobody could possibly have envisaged the 33-year-old signing for the Old Lady just three months later.

"They have been nine unique years", added Ronaldo.

The Portuguese won the Champions League on four occasions too, La Liga twice, and the Copa Del Rey twice. "Congratulations to Juventus for achieving such a great objective".

The deal has also seen a spike in social media activity. But he still has it in him to take another league by storm, and that is why Juventus have made such a bold move by signing him.

Now Juventus will be hoping that he can maintain his ruthlessness in front of goal for a few more years and finally help them end an agonising wait to become European champions for the first time since 1996, despite a prolonged period of domestic success.

Other big names in the frame are Kylian Mbappe, who is also at PSG, and Premier League stars including Harry Kane of Spurs and Eden Hazard of Chelsea.

Not only is his contract set to expire in 2020, the Blues will not play UEFA Champions League football this season and there's continued uncertainty as to who will be the manager at Stamford Bridge in 2018-19.
