Prince Louis' christening portraits are absolutely adorable

Prince Louis christening Kate Middleton

"I was truly honoured at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event", he said.

Kensington Palace released the official christening portraits from Prince Louis' christening and, as expected, they are oh-so adorable.

The service for Prince Louis was attended by guests including Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, and newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan. The other half of the line-up includes the new Duchess of Sussex, the first time she has joined her husband's family for such an intimate portrait since her wedding to Prince Harry in May.

While the Queen and Prince Philip were not present in the photos, The Duchess of Cambridge's family took centre stage.

Prince Louis of Cambridge may be the smallest person in the official photographs of his christening but he was the most ostentatiously dressed.

Also in attendance were both William's father, Charles, the prince of Wales and stepmother Camilla, the duchess of Cornwall.

Princess Charlotte couldn't keep her eyes off her little brother as she posed for the photo with just royal family members.

Absent from the portraits are the Queen and Prince Philip, who are believed to have made a joint decision with Prince William and Kate not to attend as they were travelling back from Sandringham ahead of a busy week.

The duchess added, with a smile: "I hope he stays like this".

We especially can't get over George cheesing at the camera here.

In another one of the photos, Louis is awake and looks at Kate adorably, and the bond between mother and son can not be mistaken.
