Blake Horstmann on Bachelorette 2018 Finale: What Happened

'The Bachelorette' Finale: Who Did Becca Kufrin Choose?

Warning: Spoilers ahead for those who haven't watched the finale episode!

"I've been waiting to say it to the right person", she continued.

Yrigoyen admitted he thought Kufrin might break up with him when the scandal became public, which occurred around the time of the season premiere.

"People have been saying really bad things about [Garrett], but that's not who he is", Kufrin said. She mentioned that Horstmann tended to "get more in [his] head" during filming, and that made her worry about how he would be able to handle issues that could come up in their future, like a family member's illness.

The three-hour finale began with Kufrin introducing Yrigoyen and Horstmann to her family with both meetings going well.

"What happened in the Maldives, it's lovely and it's brutal at the same time", the host continued. He said no one can make her smile like he can and that they will get through life as a team.

"It was affecting her, and that was hurting me the most".

"With Blake, there was an instant connection, and that just grew". He told her he loves her and that she's making a mistake, before admitting he knew this was how it would end. She doesn't quite pull it off, but she does have a good chat with him and comes away thinking he would challenge Becca and be a good teammate.

With that said, Reality Steve reported, before the beginning of the season, that, though there were rumors Horstmann was the victor, Kufrin picks Yrigoyen. Bachelor Nation is preparing for an epic Season 14 finale in which Becca gets engaged. At least she apologized for ripping his heart out on the beach. She also said that, because their connection was so solid, she may have overlooked other relationships. "Validate what your partner is feeling, even if you don't necessarily agree with what they are saying", she says. "We wish Becca all the happiness in the world and can't wait to see how tonight goes!" "But I just want to move forward and to learn and to grow and to continue to educate ourselves", Kufrin said to the audience at the live ABC special on Monday night, while adding that she does not condone the "Instagram situation". Then Uncle Chuck asks him, "Have you cried with Becca?" which sounds like something he may have picked up at a fire circle.

"I would make sure to, like, yeah, just be that man that is strong for her, make sure she's safe and guarded", Garrett said tearfully.

He then broke down, crying over the thought of Yrigoyen proposing to Kufrin. "I am not ideal, and I will never be anywhere close, but now I will always be more informed and aware of what I am liking and supporting, not just on Instagram, but in life". When the former couple came face to face, they still seemed to share a great chemistry, but Kufrin still maintained that Horstmann wasn't the better fit for her life in the long run.
