LeBron James Sounds Off On Instagram After Harrison Barnes Traded Mid-Game

UNC Alumni in NBA: Harrison Barnes, Justin Jackson part of Kings-Mavs trade

Paul Pierce, Tom Thibodeau and Brian Windhorst react to Harrison Barnes' trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Sacramento Kings taking place mid-game. But the fact the Mavericks were playing a game against the Charlotte Hornets when Barnes found out made it a bit. well, awkward.

The 26-year-old Barnes, who led the Mavs in scoring the previous two seasons, is averaging 17.7 points per game this season but is shooting 41 percent from the field, the second-worst mark of his seven-year career.

"So let me guess this is cool cause they had to do what was best for the franchise right???"

Before Pierce's report, the mid-game trade of Barnes led Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James to highlight what he believes is a double standard between organizations and players.

"I'm ok with both honestly, truly am", James wrote in the post.

Davis last week demanded a trade, but the New Orleans Pelicans reportedly are refusing to play ball and not comply.

National Basketball Association veteran Harrison Barnes reportedly knew he was on the verge of being traded - but judging by his on-camera reaction, he didn't expect it the deal to go through in the middle of a game.

I'm not the only one who thought the King had a point. "When a player gets traded, it's they was doing what's best for the franchise. I know that firsthand".

The Kings have been active in the lead-up to the deadline, also agreeing Wednesday to acquire Alec Burks from the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of a three-way deal with the Houston Rockets.

As of Wednesday night, four former UNC players have now been traded before the deadline including Wayne Ellington and Reggie Bullock.
