Antonio Brown teases announcement of next team on Instagram

REPORT Raiders give Antonio Brown $30 million guaranteed

Once the deal was ultimately dead, Rapoport said on Friday that Brown would not commit to playing in Buffalo, and his apparent control over the Steelers isn't helping his trade value. Brown is due a $2.5 million bonus in just over a week and I'm sure Pittsburgh would rather not pay it.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport was the first to report the deal was in the works late Thursday night. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports used the words "nowhere close" to describe the negotiations.

Now, the Steelers find themselves searching for another trade partner.

While Brown does not have a no-trade clause in his deal, National Football League players have shown that they are willing to hold out in order to get what they want. Brown demanded a trade after Pittsburgh's season ended.

It seemed like Brown was set to go to Buffalo.

The perennial All-Pro receiver has been connected to Oakland in trade rumors for quite some time, but on Thursday it was reported that the franchise came down with cold feet in negotiations.

Reports earlier in the week indicated that the Steelers anticipated a deal being done by Friday.

If Antonio Brown doesn't want to play for you, don't bother trying to trading for him.

Brown reportedly told the Steelers he would not report to Buffalo, and that was why the trade didn't actually happen.

The Bills could have offered Brown more than Odell Beckham Jr.is getting in NY, as the NFL's most richly compensated receiver, and maybe that would've convinced Brown to play there.
