R. Kelly Headed Back to Jail After Failing to Pay Child Support

‘They Wanted Me To!’: R. Kelly Claims Parents Wanted Him to Have Sex with Teen Daughter

Singer R. Kelly has been taken into custody for failure to pay $161,000 in child support and was jailed Wednesday evening, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Office in Chicago.

Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary's talk with King was teased on Wednesday morning, with the clip showing the ladies visibly distraught while being questioned about their relationship with Kelly. His hands weren't cuffed.

Kelly was taken into custody following a hearing for his child support case at the Daley Center in Chicago. Her response saw her lash out at her parents and everyone else who firmly believes that the "Bump N' Grind" singer is, in fact, guilty of sexual assault.

Detroit police say they are aware of an allegation made by a woman who said she had sex with singer R. Kelly at a Detroit area hotel in 2001 when she was 13-years-old.

Later Wednesday, Joycelyn Savage said during a phone call with her parents that she has told them a "million, million times" that she's "OK" where she is and that they "need to stop". In a separate interview, two women who live with Kelly - Azriel Clary and Jocelyn Savage - rejected allegations that they are being controlled by the musician.

If convicted, Kelly is facing up to 70 years behind bars.

Last month, a Cook County judge issued an order that would send Kelly to jail if he didn't pay $161,663 he owes his ex-wife by 10 a.m. Wednesday.

After making his tearful and outrageous plea for his innocence regarding his sexual abuse charges with Gayle King on CBS This Morning this week, R. Kelly has been arrested again.

"There's been a lot of things going on in Mr. Kelly's life", Johnson said when asked about why he couldn't afford to pay.

Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage say it's been two years since they heard from their daughter, 23-year-old Joycelyn Savage. They said they had hopes she would become Kelly's protégé.

His attorney, Steven Greenberg, was at his side.

Griggs says the family has never asked for or received money from Kelly.

The 52-year-old singer is accused in Chicago of sexually abusing four females dating back to 1998, including three underage girls.

Kelly owes Kelly $194,045 in back child support, interest, education, and health care costs.

He said: "They're lying on me.You can start a rumor about a guy like me or a celebrity just like that". He denied doing anything against their will.

Despite all this, it sounds like Kelly's main defense, [which is just him incriminating himself more, to be honest, ] is that her parents "sold" her to him!

"I didn't do this stuff".

"I have been buried alive, but I'm alive", he said, later adding that he needed someone to help him "not have a big heart".

CBS News National Correspondent Jericka Duncan said on "CBS Evening News" Tuesday the entire interview was about an hour and 20 minutes long.
