It’s raining today… I hate rain… It’s almost summer!! And I’m on the sofa wearing a comfy warm sweater covered by a blanket… It’s almost JUNE!!! A well, let’s make it better by eating some comfort food. So, I moved my lazy ass to my car and drove to the supermarket. Yes, I took my car when the supermarket is only 5 minutes away (on my bike).
But, it’s raining! So /care
I didn’t feel like icecream (plus, no soy based at this supermarket) but I was craving something sweet, but also could do with something savoury…
So, something easy, sweet, chocolaty and fruity: Salty chocolate fruit snacks!!
- 20 gr. of chocolate (I used 72% cacao)
- 20 ml of cream
- 250 gr. of fruit
- Sea salt
For this version I used pineapple, but you could use any kind of fruit really: strawberry’s, banana, mandarins ect… ect…
Melt the chocolate in a bowl on top of a pot of warm (not boiling) water or in the microwave. I always like the pot-method better. When the chocolate has melted add the cream and mix until the chocolate and cream have completely mixed and form a nice chocolate cream.
Arrange the fruit on a bowl or plate and spoon the chocolate cream on top of the fruit. I almost ate all the fruit by now, so I have a lot of chocolate left. But hey, it looks pretty on the picture 😉 Sprinkle some salt on the chocolate and put away in de fridge until you’re ready to eat.
The chocolate will still be a little soft because of the cream, if you don’t like that just reduce the amount of cream in the mixture. Serve with a nice cup of coffee or tea…
