Found this article yesterday on a Dutch News-site and thought I’d share it with you. I think she’s making an point, a lot of woman want to achieve a certain weight or look, but I think it’s more important to feel good about yourself. I mean, I’m no happier now then I was 5 kilo’s ago. But since I’ve been working out again I’ve been feeling better about my body.

For me, being happy is about feeling fit and eating right, not the number on the scale or the size of my clothing.

“Women should stop talking about thin or fat”

Women should stop themselves and others to describe in terms of ‘slim’ or ‘thick’.
That’s what  fitness guru Kayla Itsines says after the ‘boot camp’ on the Amsterdam  Saturday after its ‘boot camp’ at the Amsterdam Jaap Eden Baan against NU.nl.

“It’s not about getting a” six pack “or to look just like me, the main thing is confidence,” says the Australian. “You should not strive to be thin, but feel good about yourself. You can do that  at any weight.”

Itsines is a phenomenon in the social medium Instagram, where over 3 million followers witness her fitness and healthy lifestyle.

“I get nasty comments on a regular basis from people calling me ugly. At first it really bothered me, but I’ve learned to ignore the bullying. I hope to inspire others to do the same.”

The event in Amsterdam was part of the ‘Health Challenge’ by Glamour magazine. Besides the training of Itsines the program included yoga session, fashion shows and other sports activity. Over 2000 people joined Itsines’ fitness session.
