Which everything that happened in Paris I thought about this story I read on a forum earlier this week. It doesn’t really have anything to do with the horrible things that happened in Paris, but for some reason I had to think about it. The forum post was about a mother who’s son ‘came out’ being gay. Now I know my mom wouldn’t care less if my brother or me came out being gay, she would love us anyway. But this woman rejected her son because ‘he doesn’t look gay’, she feels it’s gross and you can’t live a happy life when you’re gay because in her narrow mind all gay men walk around in leather thongs and dance on boats on the canals in Amsterdam during gay pride.

I can’t understand how you can reject your child just because he’s not what he ‘looks like’, we aren’t just who we are on the outside, we are who we are, inside and outside. This movie shows how we judge people by the way they look. Even though it’s an avert of a brand I don’t support I still feel it shows a strong message…
