Omg, only 3 days until easter. Sorry no easter recipes from me, since I’ll be playing Viking. I finished my ‘menu’ and made a list of stuff I need to prepare for each meal. I’ll be meal prepping because I’m afraid I will not eat enough. Can’t wait!!!


Anyhow, not going to bore you with more viking stuff, time for food!!!

A while ago I was taking a number of bottles back to the store, thinking I could use the money I would get back to get an item for a lower price. But as I was standing in line to pay the item I realised I really didn’t need it. So I put the item back and instead I bought a bag of Orecchiette-Pasta. These ‘ear’-shaped pasted just screamed for a dish where the sauce would cover the pasta and every bite would be pasta, sauce, veggies with a bite and something salty. So the combinations of ‘cream’-sauce, peas and vegan bacon was born.

  • Orecchiette pasta
  • 150 gr. of frozen peas
  • red onion
  • vegan sour cream (or normal)
  • vegan bacon bits
  • pepper/salt/garlic/dill


Put the pasta and peas in a pot and add water. I added some vegetable stock powder for some extra flavour. Leave to boil on medium heat for about 12-23 minutes depending on how long the pasta need.


Mix the vegan bacon bits with liquid smoke and leave to soak until the pasta is nearly done. Cut the onion into small bits and heat some oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion and bacon until the onion is soft and the bacon is a bit crispy.


Mix the sour cream with pepper, salt, dill and garlic. Drain the pasta and peas and add the sauce, mix well.


Mix the pasta, peas and sauce with the onion and bacon bits.
