- 350 gr. of brown rice
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
- Wash the rice until the water is clear.
- Combine rice and the right amount of water (according to package), mix in the spice
- Cook until done, after that: drain and use a fork to ‘fluff’ the rice.
I served this rice with some beans, sweet bell peppers and tempeh in hoisin/soy-sauce with some red onion. Tempeh was covered in cayenne pepper, starch and some more turmeric. Since I didn’t cook the beans first, there was still a nice crunch to it.
