I’ve never been much of a collector. Sure, I had phases where I would collect things, but I never got to the point where my whole house or room would be stuffed with certain stuff. I would buy or get a few things and after that I would be tired of it already and move on to the next thing.
I had a number of phases in my life:
- Dragon statues
- Pink stuff (yeah really, I did)
- Put my clothing from short to long in my closet
- Buying books
But I can’t really remember being so obsessed with something so much. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t raised with the feeling that owning things is important.
Of course, I have phases where I’m obsessed with things, I can have weeks where I can only work on reenactment stuff or where I would do loads of baking (I had one of these phases a few weeks ago). But I guess I just don’t have the focus to get obsessed with something for a long time. I can see it at work as well, I’m someone who knows something about a lot of things but I’m never going to be a specialist in something.
If I was to collect something I would say I collect memories. Yes, I’ve said this so many times before, but I feel this is so important in my life.
Every week I write a post about a subject from the #30dayblogchallenge my HareMaristeit. Read all my other posts here
